History

The UFO Research Center of Pennsylvania (UFORCOP) published a monthly newsletter from January 2011 through at least 2015, documenting investigations across the state. The group operated a website at www.paufosearch.com and accepted reports via a contact form with a 24-hour researcher response guarantee. Membership inquiries went to butch221@dejazzd.com. The organisation partnered with UFO Research of North America, UFO Clearinghouse, and the Institute of Frontier Science.

By January 2011, UFORCOP had accumulated 36 cases: 31 UFO, 3 cryptozoology, 1 paranormal, and 19 open historical cases. The newsletter announced 18 cases under active investigation. Coverage extended beyond Pennsylvania's borders when cases from other states came to the group's attention. Each issue included a state map showing investigation locations, a "Book of the Month" recommendation, links to partner sites, and upcoming events.

Scope of Operations
UFORCOP combined multiple investigative disciplines under one organisational roof: UFO sightings, abduction research, cryptozoology (including Bigfoot reports), and paranormal investigations. The group planned a paranormal investigation at Bushy Run Battlefield in 2011 and sought reports of paranormal experiences at Gettysburg. They also organised the Close Encounters Conference (moved to 2012 from an earlier date), with a confirmed speaker list and venue.

The newsletter's format was straightforward: organisational news, case counts, investigation updates, partner announcements, and community resources. It represented the era when UFO research groups were transitioning from print newsletters to web-based reporting, maintaining the newsletter format as a PDF distributed electronically rather than by post.

Cross-reference with MUFON UFO Journal for the national organisation that UFORCOP's work complemented at state level. See also Bigfoot Bulletin for the cryptozoological dimension that UFORCOP incorporated alongside its UFO casework.
