Independent Portuguese politician sitting with the Greens/EFA group. Guerreiro tabled the parliamentary question E-000318/2024 calling for the EU Space Law to include UAP reporting provisions, gave a plenary intervention on 5 February 2024 framing the absence of European reporting as a security gap, and convened this meeting under his own initiative. His stated objective was to "decrease the stigma associated with the topic inside important sectors of our society, such as civil aviation, the military, journalism, but also politics."
