Bio
Travis S. Taylor is an American aerospace systems engineer with doctorates in aerospace systems engineering and in optical science and engineering, plus three masters degrees in physics, mechanical and aerospace engineering, and astronomy. His twenty-year career has supported NASA, the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Missile Defense Agency, and a range of other DoD customers, with technical work spanning satellite systems, missile defence concepts, and advanced propulsion research.
Taylor was selected by the Pentagon as Chief Scientist of the UAP Task Force during the formal congressional-mandated investigation period from 2020 to 2022, where his role was the technical and scientific evaluation of UAP signature data, kinematics analyses, and sensor fusion across the Navy and Air Force reports under examination.
Since 2020 Taylor has also co-led the History Channel series The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, an ongoing investigation of anomalous phenomena at the Uinta Basin ranch in northeastern Utah that was previously studied by Robert Bigelow's National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS) and by the AAWSAP programme. He has authored two academic textbooks, more than fifteen peer-reviewed scientific papers, and twenty-one science-fiction novels.
On UAP
Taylor's public engagement with the UAP topic is unusual in the apparatus because it spans both a classified technical advisory role within the UAP Task Force and a popular cable-television investigation programme filmed in the same period. He has not separated these public identities and has spoken at length on Skinwalker Ranch about the data being collected on site, including anomalous radiation readings, equipment failures, and witnessed events.
His testimony in episodes of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch includes on-camera commentary about UAP signatures, magnetic anomalies, and what he has described as repeatable patterns of phenomena under measurement.
