Reports flooded APRO headquarters from across the Americas. This issue featured landing reports from Colombia, a significant observation from Vashon Island in Washington state, and a boy in Butler County, Ohio who was burned by an object that approached at close range. APRO's international network was delivering case files the Condon Committee would never see.
Sighting Reports
At approximately 6 PM, a brilliant object appeared about 400 yards from the McCarthy home near Deep River. Estimated 12-15 feet in diameter. Miss McCarthy described it like a 'bomb explosion' on TV. Object was close to the ground, about a quarter mile from the farm house. Had 'little red lights' revolving around its circumference. Trees in the vicinity were illuminated.

Girls ran outside and saw large strange light hovering over hill. Two strange craft observed. Total of 8 objects seen over approximately 5 minutes. Objects subsequently observed in Lombard, Villa Park, and Oak Brook Terrace.

Mrs. Ryan and five children went outside but initially saw nothing. Alarm continued - when Mrs. Ryan traced the detector on the horizontal axis it pointed east.
View on map · View in databaseAt 8:35 PM, Chief Maddox (a lawman for 32 years who had previously joked about UFOs) was 2 miles south of Wellington when he saw a big light coming at an angle. Object appeared about a man's hand-width at arm's length. Estimated altitude 500-1000 feet. Maddox pursued the object for 14 miles at speeds up to 100 mph, maintaining radio contact with headquarters throughout.
View on map · View in databaseEarly February, small round brilliant pulsating object sighted at 4:00 AM near two weather stations one mile south of Killaloe. Four Ontario Provincial Police observed it. Constable Foss and Corporal Gorrill confirmed the sighting at 4:15 AM. Local airports confirmed no aircraft in the area. Radar station at Petawawa had no contact.
View on map · View in databaseBetween January 24 and March 5, Tom Hall observed multiple objects. Object appeared as big as the moon, estimated at 300 feet altitude. Erratic behaviour of electrical apparatus in neighbourhood during sightings - burglar alarm at hardware store started ringing repeatedly as object passed over. After object disappeared, series of light beams appeared coming down through clouds.

The light seemed to grow bigger, then turned northeast and flew parallel to the car. Suddenly changed direction and flew in front of the car, then angled up and disappeared. Object described as grey in colour, cigar-shaped, 'big enough to drive a car in.' Glowed like a fluorescent light.

Estimated approximately 4 metres (12 feet) above the ground and less than 150 feet from his automobile. Object appeared circular, moving at approximately 50 km/h. A double narrow ring with a pulsating swirl was observed on the ground below it. An ozone-like smell was present. Mrs.
