The year closed with a burst of Brazilian cases and a cluster of reports from Florida. The Condon Committee was preparing its final report, which would recommend closing Project Blue Book, but the volume of global sightings showed no sign of abating. APRO documented cases the official channels were about to stop collecting.
Sighting Reports
While driving between Maitland and Port Victoria, Wyatt and Bolton spotted a strange white light high in the sky travelling parallel to their course in a northwesterly direction. The object suddenly made a half-circle turn and crossed the sky, then came down at bright angle and hovered at tower height. It grew larger as it approached, changing from white to orange-red.

Mr. Lorenzen observed through 10x35 power binoculars and Greenwell used 10x50 binoculars.

A yellow-orange-shaped ball of fire appeared behind his car over the Deepstep road. Jones slowed his car. The radio, which had been playing, began to pick up static. The object came over his car and hovered. Radio quit completely and the engine stopped.

He approached and saw a figure with a covered head holding something. The being struck him several blows. He was thrown down. Three beings in total attacked him, one dressed in yellow clothing.

The skipper and two crew members all reported that an object trailed their boat, came in over it, and went straight up into the air and out of sight.

The wife went outside and observed a white disc about 100 feet above two trees in the yard. Others on the street were also watching.

Mrs. Juliette Gagnon reported a humming sound. A strange tumbling ball of fire observed. An egg-shaped piece of rock was found. About 60 miles north of Montreal, a large luminous object illuminated the sky and fell into a pond.
