The Condon Report landed in January 1969, recommending the end of official Air Force UFO investigations. Sighting reports dropped sharply in early 1969, whether from genuine quiet skies or the chilling effect of the report's dismissive conclusions. This thin issue reflected the lull, with just five cases, though two of them involved physical trace evidence.

At 11:35 PM on Guilford Avenue, after a basketball game, Barbara Skelton stepped out of car and screamed upon seeing an object. Father also observed it. Two more cars stopped to watch. Object estimated at 100 feet wide, 50 feet tall, at 5,000 feet altitude. Mr.
View on map · View in databaseWhile flying a Piper Navajo between Adelaide and Perth at 8,000 feet, cruising at 270 Magnetic, Captain Gardin observed a formation of objects maintaining station with their aircraft. Formation consisted of one large 'aircraft' in the middle with 6-8 smaller objects in formation to its right and left. Captain Smith immediately radioed Kalgoorlie D.C.A.

WO-1 Clark described it as looking like one end of a cigar or eye of a hurricane. Object appeared to have a rotor-type system and was at approximately the same altitude as their helicopter (1,500 feet).
View on map · View in databaseAt 10:42 PM, Mr. Pagan was sitting in his car when he noticed a long object at high altitude travelling at a high rate of speed. Object became visible through a large break in cloud cover at approximately 30,000 feet. Travelling from NE to SW. Described as cigar-shaped and reddish in colour. Made no noise.
