By spring 1969, reports were climbing again despite the Condon Report's attempt to close the book. Twelve cases reached APRO from across the United States and South America, including police witnesses, pilot sightings, and a close encounter in rural Georgia that left ground traces.

While flying from Lake Havasu City airport on the Colorado River, pilot Riley spotted 3-6 oval-shaped objects in a cluster formation headed west at approximately 1,400 feet altitude. Objects appeared shiny white/metallic with a black stripe binding on the outer edge and a slight projection at the forward section. Estimated speed 350-400 mph. Objects estimated 500-1,000 feet across.

Farm foreman Inacio de Sousa encountered an object on the ground at a large farm. He saw a bright light, felt paralyzed and could only stand and watch. The object had legs or landing gear with visible flaps/retractable features. Object raised up slowly and headed south without making any sound. De Sousa became unconscious and had to be carried back by other witnesses.

From 6:30 to 7:30 PM, Captain Louis Beile piloting an Eastern Airlines flight from Washington DC to Atlanta first thought the object was the moon but realized it was the wrong time and direction. Object appeared to change colours and grow in size. He watched a portion 'break off' from the lower left side. He radioed the control tower at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport.

On November 3rd, near Cedar Creek and Louisville, Nebraska. Mrs. McColl returning home from Platts at about 7 PM with son and Mrs. McGill saw what appeared to be the rear of a huge flashing moving machine that slid down over a field. It seemed to rotate, changing from bright to dim. They stopped and watched for about 10 minutes.

A pair of bright lights alternately dimming and brightening touched off interest at Goodyear Lake. Children skating on the frozen lake reported a light beamed down at them from the air. All kids threw themselves on the ice and rubbed their eyes.

On the night of December 31, a family at Hamilton was tracked for more than an hour by a bright white-to-yellow light while driving home, starting at 9 PM. The next morning at about 2 AM, Robinson's truck crew observed a similar object on the same road. Mr.

On March 15, a balcony occupant saw an illuminated object which almost crashed into the chimney at the Telecomed factory in Southern Norway. The object descended at high speed and at an angle toward the Norman Chimney factory. It had a large dome with many-coloured lights. The witness thought the object would crash into the building but it swerved away at the last moment.

Between 7 and 7:20 PM, two men observed three objects in a triangular formation at 10 degrees above the horizon heading west. Estimated speed 150 mph. Formation appeared about the size of a half dollar at arm's length. Both witnesses were on a moving ore train between the San Manuel mines and the Plant. No sound heard. San Manuel airport confirmed no planes.
